Sara
Schmitt has
always been fascinated by horses since a very young age, starting
with an extensive Breyer horse
collection and evolving through the local public riding stable into many
years of membership with the Spring Valley Hounds Pony Club. What
started with a very green horse at age 14 quickly migrated into
several, and encompassed a wide variety of equine activities - hunter/jumper
shows, horse trials, hunting, hunter paces, dressage and even a
little western pleasure.
Sara
Schmitt is an "R" dressage judge, as well as a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallist. Sara was the USDF Region 1 ABIC Reserve Champion
at Training, Second and Third level. In 1997 she was the USDF Region
1 ABIC Fourth level Champion. In 1998, Sara and her Swedish Warmblood
Eclipse were ranked 25th nationally at Prix St. George. In
2001, Sara was the USDF Region 1 ABIC Intermediare Freestyle Champion
on the Holstein gelding Fusilier, owned by
Susan De Flora.
