Sara Schmitt Dressage Trainer

Sara Schmitt is an USEF "S" Dressage judge, as well as a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallist with over 20 years experience riding dressage!

Throughout her career Sara has trained with several Dressage icons, starting early with Hans Dressler. She has been influence with such greats as Anne Gribbons, Uwe Steiner, Jan Ebeling, Lars Petersen and Catherine Haddad-Staller.

A talented and sympathetic Dressage trainer experienced with many different breeds of horses, Sara was second in the 4 year old Young Horse Championship at Dressage at Devon 2007. The winning experience continued in 2008, ranking second in the USEF "Horse of the Year" awards at first level with a score of 76.6%, and second in the "Horse of the Year" Awards First Level Freestyle, as well as American Hanoverian All Breeds at First Level and First Level Freestyle. At the USDF Region 8 Championships Sara won First Level and First Level Freestyle on "Whirlpool" and won Third Level Freestyle with "Bredero." Sara and "Whirlpool" also won Midwest Selection Trials - FEI 5 Year Old Young Horse Championships.

Sara's students are also very successful in the show ring!

DRESSAGE TRAINING, LESSONS AND CLINICS
Sara is available for lessons in the North New Jersey area, with your horse or on an available experienced school horse, primarily the areas of Clinton - Somerville.She is also available to travel throughout the United States for clinics. Many of Sara’s students have been quite successful winning numerous local, as well as regional, awards. Sara also specializes in breaking young horses and providing training from lower to FEI level dressage.
